Pink Stripes and White Denim ๐Ÿ’—

This little outfit was perfect for a evening out at Assembly Row to see the new Mama Mia with one of my girlfriends! It’s so good, I would definitely recommend ๐Ÿ˜Š We had so much fun walking around, eating popcorn, and drinking sangria. I love that you can now grab a drink on your way in!

Both the top and the skirt are from Abercrombie. I haven’t shopped there in a long time, but I recently rediscovered that they have some awesome basics and good sale prices too. This shirt is awesome and comes in a lot of different color options. I’m wearing an XS and I might have to order more! I got a 26 in the skirt so it fit a little bit looser and wasn’t too tight. It will definitely go so well with a lot of my tops and be on repeat during summer!

Italy: Part 2 (Capri)

Our last day in Italy we took the ferry over to Capri at 8:30am. The ferries cost around 10-25 euros and you can buy a ticket when you show up which was super nice! It took about an hour and we were there. The views coming into Capri are so so beautiful. Once we got off the ferry, we looked around and decided what we wanted to do. First, we took the trolley up to the center of town and got the most amazing caprese sandwiches at this little shop. Once we went back down to the dock, we got tickets to go on a tour of the blue grotto. We took a boat around the whole island and they told us all about the most important and unique parts of Capri. We couldn’t”t take the canoes into the Blue Grotto, but when it is nice weather enough, you can! After that, we walked around this little neighborhood a bit and saw all of the adorable houses. Capri was definitely a fun place to go and visit and I wish we could have explored even more. You can even take a chairlift to the highest point of the island, but we didn’t have time.

Also during our trip, we went to Pompeii and we were supposed to hike Vesuvius but it started hailing on us so we all decided to just go back down the mountain! Another really cool thing we did was see some of the catacombs. My favorite was the Catacombes of Saint Gennaro. I had never seen any before, so it was a really cool experience. I’ll definitely have to see more when I travel again.

This outfit was perfect for the day. I wore my gold adidas sneaks I linked in my first Italy post and this denim jacket. The romper is from last year, but I found a similar one here.

The Cutest Fringe Swimsuit

I was so excited to head to the Colonnade Rooftop Pool with one of my girlfriends the other night. We had such a good time with live music, pizza, and drinks! It’s a 10 dollar cover for 21+ from 5-10 on weeknights. It’s closed on Saturday and Sunday for just hotel guests and from 8-5 on weekdays it’s $45 for the public. We thought that was too much haha but wanted to try it during the evening and I’m so glad we did. It can get crowded kind of quickly so it might be worth calling ahead to see what they say.

I wore one of my fave swimmies, striped pom pom suit from Tularosa. It is so flattering with the high waist and so different from my other more basic bathing suits. The pops of color add a fun element to it too! The quality is really good and I will definitely be getting more bathing suits from this brand. I got a small in the bottom and large in the top for reference.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Italy: Part 1 (Sorrento, Positano, and Amalfi)

Ohhh my gosh Italy was so so beautiful! I had the best time exploring with my good friend Andi during our Spring Break in March. Today I wanted to share all about our day exploring Sorrento, Positano, and Amalfi. We were staying in Naples so we took the Circumvesuviana from the Garibaldi station at around 9 am and were there by 10:30. We had a little trouble and this nice Italian man told us we had to get off and turn around because it broke off into two but we made it in plenty of time for a full day. We had lunch in Sorrento and I had ravioli that was so so delicious!

Next, we went back to the train station to grab tickets for the bus that goes between all the coastal towns including Positano and Amalfi. You can get one for around 8-12 Euro and can take the bus as many times as you want for 24 hours which is awesome. We caught the next bus and it took about 30 mins to get to Positano. I will say the ride is on the side of a cliff and I had to look the other way haha. I would suggest sitting on the drivers side on the way there which is towards the mountain and not the water!

We explored Positano for a bit and climbed at least 30 flights of stairs! We got our exercise in for sure. It was so so beautiful at it was fun just looking around. We loved looking at the little house and shop signs. We then went back to the bus and caught a ride every further to Amalfi. I think I liked Amalfi the best! It was more touristy than Positano and I liked it. We grabbed some bruschetta and limoncello as watched the water. I also had gelato that was amazing and we ventured down to the water. It was a little chillier as you can tell because we were still in pants and jackets and the beach was almost completely empty. Then we went further back into the little street and saw the most amazing church. I wish we could of explored these places more but we had to catch the bus back!

My shirt is a few years old, but this shirt is super cute and similar. It has fun sleeves too! This jacket is one of my favorites of all time. J Crew has had it for years and it’s always in style and perfect for in between Fall/Spring weather. This pair of jeans is an awesome wash and I love the frayed hem at the bottom. Mine are from a few years ago again. Probably the best clothing item I brought on this trip were the gold and white Adidas Superstars I wore everywhere. You can find them available in different sizes here and here. I also took this bag around with me the whole trip! It fit everything I needed.

We had the best time in Italy and I can’t wait to plan a trip back! ๐Ÿ™‚

Gingham and Pockets

I wanted to share this adorable gingham dress with you all today! It is one of my favorite finds this summer and will definitely be on repeat for me. I wore it to my Sister-in-Law’s bridal brunch before their wedding a few weeks back and have loved it ever since. The fabric is amazing and so light weight. Itย was perfect for the Raleigh heat in July. I even washed and dried it and it turned out perfectly. I love clothing that’s easy to take care of and will last forever. The pockets in this dress also sold me on it because who doesn’t love pockets in a dress, right? I always say my wedding dress will have pockets for sure, haha. I am wearing a size 0 and it fits amazingly. The waist on this dress is also super flattering which is a major plusย in my book. It also comes in a solid black and solid navy here. I also found some other great gingham dress options at Lulus and Nordstrom here, here, here, and here.

Most recently, I wore this dress to the Taylor Swift concert at Gillette Stadium this past weekend and it was perfect for that too. You can definitely dress it up or down with the right shoes and accessories.

Have a fabulous weekend loves!

Tie Waist Short in Chambray

These shorts are so cute! I wear them with everything and love the bow on the front. They are also a little high waisted which is great when tucking camis in.

Such a good basic short!

Platform Espadrilles Sandals in Suede

These shoes are the prettiest color and such a good summer shoe to go with so many basics.

A Cute Pink Dress and Pineapples

Today I wanted to share this adorable pink dress with pineapples from Kate Spade. I purchased it to wear at my Sister-in-Law’s bachelorette a few weeks back in Charleston. I got an XS and it fit perfectly. The fabric is super light so it was even perfect in 90+ degree weather in June in the south (Charleston, SC).

There were so many fun things to do in Charleston. We tried some amazing restaurants like Tavern and Table and The Daily for brunch Sunday morning. I would definitely recommend both if you are visiting the area. It was so so fun celebrating my Sister-in-Law, and it was great to get out of Boston for the weekend!!

Both the shirtย and the dressย versions that I linked here are on major sale, woohoo! Kate Spade also gives 15% when you place your first order after signing up with your email. The store has a student discount when you show your valid student ID as well.

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend ๐Ÿ™‚

My Experience with Trunk Club

Today I’m sharing all about my experience with Trunk Club. It’s an online styling service run by Nordstrom. You get to chat with a stylist, tell her all about what you like to wear for work or on the weekends and what your style is. They ask so many detailed questions, it’s wonderful. Some of the questions included price points for certain items like shoes vs. purses, colors and patterns you like or definitely do not like, and whether you wear more gold or silver jewelry. You can even add pictures of items you already have!! This is great if you have something already that you want to find a new way to style.

Once you have chatted with the stylist, they pair you with your official stylist that will create your trunk for you. All of the brands they might send you are listed on their website so you can see. Your trunk is available to view about two days later and you get to preview everything. This is your chance to change any colors or ask for something different. If something is too expensive or not your style, your stylist will add something new to your trunk based on your feedback. My stylist included a pair of Vince slip-on sneakers I already owned so I removed those from my trunk, for example. Once you love your trunk, you approve it and your stylist will ship it out. At this point, there is a $25 styling fee. Once you’ve received your box and had a chance to look at everything and decide what you are keeping, that $25 is credited towards whatever you decide to keep. You only need to keep around 1 item for it to be worth it!! If you choose to not have your trunk shipped once you have reviewed it, you aren’t charged anything.

Once you have started receiving trunks, you have a schedule with your stylist of every month, every other month, or every 3rd month which is awesome. You can always cancel or request a new trunk at any time. The boxes even come with a return label and tape so packing up and sending back any items you don’t want to keep is a breeze!!

I kept three items from my trunk that I loved:

Soprano- Strapless Tie Back Romper

I got an XS! Only $45 and the back is so unique!! You can find it here!

Gibson- Peplum Button Front Tank

I’m always a sucker for peplum and only $49! I got an XS. Linked here!

Treasure & Bond- Denim Mini Skirt

Danielle sent me a 26 in this and it fit perfectly! Originally $69 but on sale for $41.40 right now. You can find a similar oneย here! I loved my experience with Trunk Club and hope you will too! Here is a code to be referred to my stylist, Danielle!

My Top 5 Picks from the Madewell Sale

Yay for Madewell having one of the best sales of the year with 30% off through July 16th! Woohoo! You can also get an additional 15% student discount with a valid school ID which makes it an even more amazing deal.

There are so many goodies in this sale but I wanted to share my top 5 picks I may or may not have just scooped up!

This eyelet cami top puts a twist on the classic black shirt that still goes with all the other basics! I had to add it to my closest to wear with just about everything.

I love the fun yellow color of this top!

This is a super easy dress to wear and can be dressed up or down with tons of shoe/jacket options!

Loving this light blue color of this top for this season and the embroidery on the neckline gives it the cutest touch!

This skirt totally would have come home with me if I hadn’t just gotten one. A denim skirt is such a staple that goes with everything, and this one is too cute!

**ย A new shirtย that is similar to this one is now available in all sizes! Yayyy! I got an XS for reference. It sold out super quickly last time so grab it if you want it!
