Today I wanted to share this cute outfit from this past weekend! It was perfect for going to dinner in downtown Cincy. I always love solid colors whether they are neutral or bright and this one definitely fits that.
This necklace was a recent find from bauble bar and I love it because it is perfect for layering. It’s comes in 3 different colors. You can get 15% off your first order when you sign up with your email. This shirt is sold out in the red but it’s still available in some other colors. I’m wearing an XS. I found similar red ones here and here. You can find my fave white jeans here. I sized up to a 26 because white jeans can shrink just a little so I don’t like them super snug right when I get them. These shoes are from a few years ago but I found this pair that are similar and an amazing dupe for the Valentino Rockstud sandal!!
Today I wanted to share two of my favorite things with you all! Stripes and paper bag waists are definitely on that list. This outfit is super comfy and was perfect for running around doing errands yesterday.
This shirt is a similar one from this year (mine is a few years old) and it’s 30% off today! These shorts are from express and only 19.95 which is so good. They have this striped pair that’s super cute too. I also found this similar pair at Nordstrom that’s still in stock in all sizes and on sale for less than $50!! I styled it with a tighter tank just because that helps you to not lose your shape in two items that are looser fitting.
Hope you all have a fabulous week!!
My mom and I spent the day lounging by the pool yesterday and it was so great! I haven’t had much time off this summer so it was definitely needed. This is one of my fave swimmies of this summer! I love the neckline and that the back covers your butt! 😝 It comes in a lot of different solid colors and some patterns as well.
You can find it here. It’s from Anthropologie and the brand is called Allihop. I’m wearing an XS and it definitely fits perfectly! It’s currently $118 but it’s Anthro Day so if you have an AnthroPerks card or sign up for one you get 20% off your order. This is really a great deal since they only have sales every once in a while!
This little outfit was perfect for a evening out at Assembly Row to see the new Mama Mia with one of my girlfriends! It’s so good, I would definitely recommend 😊 We had so much fun walking around, eating popcorn, and drinking sangria. I love that you can now grab a drink on your way in!
Both the top and the skirt are from Abercrombie. I haven’t shopped there in a long time, but I recently rediscovered that they have some awesome basics and good sale prices too. This shirt is awesome and comes in a lot of different color options. I’m wearing an XS and I might have to order more! I got a 26 in the skirt so it fit a little bit looser and wasn’t too tight. It will definitely go so well with a lot of my tops and be on repeat during summer!
Our last day in Italy we took the ferry over to Capri at 8:30am. The ferries cost around 10-25 euros and you can buy a ticket when you show up which was super nice! It took about an hour and we were there. The views coming into Capri are so so beautiful. Once we got off the ferry, we looked around and decided what we wanted to do. First, we took the trolley up to the center of town and got the most amazing caprese sandwiches at this little shop. Once we went back down to the dock, we got tickets to go on a tour of the blue grotto. We took a boat around the whole island and they told us all about the most important and unique parts of Capri. We couldn’t”t take the canoes into the Blue Grotto, but when it is nice weather enough, you can! After that, we walked around this little neighborhood a bit and saw all of the adorable houses. Capri was definitely a fun place to go and visit and I wish we could have explored even more. You can even take a chairlift to the highest point of the island, but we didn’t have time.
Also during our trip, we went to Pompeii and we were supposed to hike Vesuvius but it started hailing on us so we all decided to just go back down the mountain! Another really cool thing we did was see some of the catacombs. My favorite was the Catacombes of Saint Gennaro. I had never seen any before, so it was a really cool experience. I’ll definitely have to see more when I travel again.
This outfit was perfect for the day. I wore my gold adidas sneaks I linked in my first Italy post and this denim jacket. The romper is from last year, but I found a similar one here.
I was so excited to head to the Colonnade Rooftop Pool with one of my girlfriends the other night. We had such a good time with live music, pizza, and drinks! It’s a 10 dollar cover for 21+ from 5-10 on weeknights. It’s closed on Saturday and Sunday for just hotel guests and from 8-5 on weekdays it’s $45 for the public. We thought that was too much haha but wanted to try it during the evening and I’m so glad we did. It can get crowded kind of quickly so it might be worth calling ahead to see what they say.
I wore one of my fave swimmies, striped pom pom suit from Tularosa. It is so flattering with the high waist and so different from my other more basic bathing suits. The pops of color add a fun element to it too! The quality is really good and I will definitely be getting more bathing suits from this brand. I got a small in the bottom and large in the top for reference.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Ohhh my gosh Italy was so so beautiful! I had the best time exploring with my good friend Andi during our Spring Break in March. Today I wanted to share all about our day exploring Sorrento, Positano, and Amalfi. We were staying in Naples so we took the Circumvesuviana from the Garibaldi station at around 9 am and were there by 10:30. We had a little trouble and this nice Italian man told us we had to get off and turn around because it broke off into two but we made it in plenty of time for a full day. We had lunch in Sorrento and I had ravioli that was so so delicious!
Next, we went back to the train station to grab tickets for the bus that goes between all the coastal towns including Positano and Amalfi. You can get one for around 8-12 Euro and can take the bus as many times as you want for 24 hours which is awesome. We caught the next bus and it took about 30 mins to get to Positano. I will say the ride is on the side of a cliff and I had to look the other way haha. I would suggest sitting on the drivers side on the way there which is towards the mountain and not the water!
We explored Positano for a bit and climbed at least 30 flights of stairs! We got our exercise in for sure. It was so so beautiful at it was fun just looking around. We loved looking at the little house and shop signs. We then went back to the bus and caught a ride every further to Amalfi. I think I liked Amalfi the best! It was more touristy than Positano and I liked it. We grabbed some bruschetta and limoncello as watched the water. I also had gelato that was amazing and we ventured down to the water. It was a little chillier as you can tell because we were still in pants and jackets and the beach was almost completely empty. Then we went further back into the little street and saw the most amazing church. I wish we could of explored these places more but we had to catch the bus back!
My shirt is a few years old, but this shirt is super cute and similar. It has fun sleeves too! This jacket is one of my favorites of all time. J Crew has had it for years and it’s always in style and perfect for in between Fall/Spring weather. This pair of jeans is an awesome wash and I love the frayed hem at the bottom. Mine are from a few years ago again. Probably the best clothing item I brought on this trip were the gold and white Adidas Superstars I wore everywhere. You can find them available in different sizes here and here. I also took this bag around with me the whole trip! It fit everything I needed.
We had the best time in Italy and I can’t wait to plan a trip back! 🙂
I wanted to share this adorable gingham dress with you all today! It is one of my favorite finds this summer and will definitely be on repeat for me. I wore it to my Sister-in-Law’s bridal brunch before their wedding a few weeks back and have loved it ever since. The fabric is amazing and so light weight. It was perfect for the Raleigh heat in July. I even washed and dried it and it turned out perfectly. I love clothing that’s easy to take care of and will last forever. The pockets in this dress also sold me on it because who doesn’t love pockets in a dress, right? I always say my wedding dress will have pockets for sure, haha. I am wearing a size 0 and it fits amazingly. The waist on this dress is also super flattering which is a major plus in my book. It also comes in a solid black and solid navy here. I also found some other great gingham dress options at Lulus and Nordstrom here, here, here, and here. I also found it available to rent at Rent the Runway for $40 here! I’m so excited about this and will have to try it at some point!
Most recently, I wore this dress to the Taylor Swift concert at Gillette Stadium this past weekend and it was perfect for that too. You can definitely dress it up or down with the right shoes and accessories.
Have a fabulous weekend loves!
